TWEED COAST COMMUNITY CHURCH
We find relationships, get encouraged, and grow in our faith
in our Ministries. Find out more about our ministries below.
OUR STORY
The first worship service was held in a restaurant in Cabarita Lakes Resort in February 1994. From there the church moved to Ace Plaza at Easter 1995. Later that same year the church purchased land in Cabarita Road for $187,000. A building including worship centre and community hall were subsequently built on this site (our current facility) and completed in 1997. The total cost of building was $450,000. The church was led by Rev. Graham Eggins from it's inception and soon after the construction of the church facility he was joined in the ministry by Marcus Wright. Pastor Graham concluded his ministry at TCCBC in 2005. During Pastor Graham's tenure the church developed a number of significant ministries such as children and youth along with the current Op shop, Second Chance Furniture and over 50's ministry (Minglers). WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe in the one God who is in nature three persons, the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the infallible Word of God.
We believe that man was made in God’s image but his nature was corrupted when he fell out of fellowship with God.
We believe that in order to redeem mankind from the guilt, penalty and power of sin, Jesus Christ became man and died a sacrificial death as our representative substitute. By His resurrection, God’s acceptance of His atoning death was demonstrated. This atonement is sufficient for the whole world but effective only in those who receive it. The sinner is justified and reconciled to God solely through God’s grace, not through any personal merit.
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is necessary for the acceptance of God’s provision of salvation, by convicting men of sinfulness and leading them to spiritual birth as God’s children.
We believe that the universal Church of God is the body of regenerate people whom God has separated from the world through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
We believe that baptism is an ordinance of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Lord’s supper is an ordinance of the Lord Jesus Christ instituted by Him to be celebrated by believers in Christ until the end of the age.
We believe that at the end of this age Jesus Christ will return visibly to earth in His glory and there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous.
